The short answer
Most Sydney removalists charge by the hour for movers and a truck, plus a call-out fee and a minimum booking. With us that's $190 an hour for 2 movers and a truck, a 3 hour minimum and a 30 minute call-out. A studio or 1 bed usually lands between $700 and $900. A 3 bed house, $1,700 to $2,000.

What pushes the price up
Stairs and long carries
Every flight and every metre between the door and the truck adds time. A third mover often pays for itself here.
No parking near the door
If the truck has to park down the street, each trip takes longer.
Packing on the day
Half-packed rooms are the most common reason a move runs long.
Taking furniture apart
Beds, big tables and wardrobes that don't fit through doors whole.
Extra stops
A second pickup or a storage drop adds the drive and the loading time.
How to keep it down
- Have every box packed and taped before we arrive.
- Book the lift or loading dock for the morning.
- Save a parking spot for the truck, or tell us where the nearest loading zone is.
- Take apart small flat-pack furniture yourself.
- Tell us about stairs and heavy items when you book, so we send the right crew the first time.
Hourly or fixed price?
Local moves are hourly, so you only pay for the time it takes. Interstate moves get a fixed price after a quick call, because the drive is most of the job.
